FIRST PITCH: THE U.S. - MANIPUR BASEBALL PROJECT is a non-profit venture based in New York devoted to the promotion of baseball in Manipur, a remote state of India bordering on Myanmar. FIRST PITCH believes a partnership that builds on the culture and strengths of both peoples can be effective cultural diplomacy.

Through an association with Major League Baseball International, several coaching clinics in Manipur have been conducted.

 

A documentary film, "The Only Real Game",  initiated by First Pitch and directed by Mirra Bank, has won Best Documentary in the NYIFF 2013.
